In what order must these brushes be used to groom a horse properly?
Dandy brush – soft brush – curry comb
Curry comb – dandy brush – soft brush
Curry comb – soft brush – dandy brush
Curry comb, then hardest to softest brushes and then a rub TOWARDS the way the fur is growing with a towel to give one last GOOD polish to the coat.
And DON’T forget to pick out the feet BEFORE you ride to make sure there’s no stones or injuries there that can ruin your ride and possibly your horse’s feet. And AGAIN AFTER you ride so you can be sure the horse hasn’t picked up any stones that could injure it and so you can check the condition of the feet (and shoes, if the horse wears them) before you put the horse back in its stall or pasture.
