When i jump my hands are on the horses neck – ways to help me stop?

i noticed i do this when i watched my video of me jumping a grid, i lean on his neck, i dont want my hands to be in the air to lose contact, but i always find my hands leaning on his neck.
tips and advice to stop please :0 x

DON’T put your hands in the air. That is incorrect. Work on jumping with out hands and strengthing your core and legs. That way when you do a crest release, you won’t rely on your hands, just have them resting so the horse can have his head.
